Customs as a first-class module

From tax silo to operational core

Customs management has historically lived isolated in systems dedicated to customs brokers and traders. This creates data duplication, rework and exposure to fines. In NexLog OS, Trade Declaration (`tradeDeclarations`) and Trade Document (`tradeDocuments`) share MDM with Shipment (`shipments`) and Order (`orders`): Incoterms come from the order, weight and volume from the shipment, NCM/HS from the product master.

Tariff intelligence and compliance

The Tariff Intelligence module uses AI to suggest NCM/HS classification based on textual description, BOM, history of approved classifications and jurisprudence. Each suggestion brings auditable explanation. Denied Party Check runs automatically on any tradeDeclaration, blocking shipments to sanctioned parties. Drawback, tariff exemption and special regime rules are handled by versioned playbooks.

International standards and Single Window

NexLog OS Customs speaks Cargo-XML, DCSA, ONE Record and WCO Data Model — when it integrates with Siscomex Single Portal, European and Asian authorities, it uses the format each party accepts. This reduces parametrized channel time, lowers risk of yellow/red channel selection and makes international operations a natural part of the supply chain operating system.
